Rosco Inc. was incorporated in 1944, by Raymond Cole and Al Rose. Both men were employed by the Aluminum Corporation of America at the time they went into business. The mainstay of the business at that time, and the work they cut their teeth on was the Aluminum Die Cast Molds which were integral to Aluminum Corporation of America. Rosco Inc. made its name in the tooling industry building aluminum die cast molds for industry, as well as building and repairing machines and machine parts for the neighboring businesses. About five years after incorporating, Al Rose decided to withdraw from the business, and Ray Cole was left as the sole proprietor. Under his guidance, Rosco prospered and grew for the next 40 years. In the late 80's with Ray Cole now well into his 70's, the business began the natural decline of a man ready to retire, but reluctant to take the step. In 1995, Ray offered the buisness to John Burton, a long time tool and die maker. Happily agreeing, and with Ray in attendance, well into his 90's, Rosco began once again to prosper. Ray came to work every day until 2002, when he finally retired. John Burton, still president today, made sure to replace outdated equipment with the most modern technology to ensure precision and accuracy in all productions. |
